The Bruins goaltending has also been a huge factor to their recent success as they have two solid goaltenders between Linus Ullmark and Jeremy Swayman. Acquiring Hampus Lindholm at the trade deadline was one of the best decisions the Bruins have made as he has made an immediate impact already and has given the Bruins even more defensive depth. The Bruins offense has also been solid and when you have a line with Patrice Bergeron, David Pastrnak, and Brad Marchand, you do not need to worry about scoring depth. The Bruins power play has also been solid this year ranking themselves tenth in the NHL with a 23.3%.
Like them or not, the Boston Bruins are playing good hockey and they are set to play the Lightning in the first round of the playoffs if the season ended today. The Bruins have done well against the Lightning this season and if they can manage to get home ice advantage, then the Lightning better look out.
