Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you should have heard of HardRock, which is one of the biggest and most recognizable brands in the world. You will find the brand name on almost everything, from restaurants, bars, hotels, and even stadiums all over the globe.

As a brand that can be spotted almost everywhere, it almost makes sense for Hard Rock to dip its toes into the sports betting industry as well. And it did, as early as 2018, after PASPA was overturned by the US Supreme Court, which allowed Hard Rock to jump into the world of online sports betting in June of that year.

Since its launch, Hard Rock used its name to get people through its doors, and most of the bettors who arrived at Hard Rock Sportsbook decided to stay. And not necessarily due to the brand name and its recognition, but rather due to the excellent betting service it provides.

However, Hard Rock’s reputation as one of the top sportsbooks goes beyond generous welcome bonuses, competitive prices, and a vast selection of betting markets. There is a lot to like about Hard Rock Sportsbook, and there are plenty of reasons why anyone should at the very least try it out.

Today, we take a closer look at Hard Rock Sportsbook, its pros, cons, special features, and everything there is to know about one of the leading online sportsbooks.

History

Hard Rock’s journey into the world of betting started in June 2018, when it opened the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, formerly the Trump Taj Mahal, which was shuttered in 2016. But it didn’t stop there. In less than five months, Hard Rock took a step further and announced its intentions of launching an online and mobile sportsbook in New Jersey.

The plan came to fruition just after the completion of the NFL 2018 regular season, when Hard Rock Sportsbook launched and became the 10th mobile sportsbook retailer in the Garden State.

Thanks to its initial success, Hard Rock quickly started making plans to expand beyond New Jersey’s borders and into other states, and it didn’t take long for it to achieve that. Just a couple of weeks later, in mid-August 2019, Iowa made sports betting legal, and Hard Rock was the first in line to start offering its services.

In its attempts to expand even further, Hard Rock launched its online sports betting services in Florida in November 2021. With that, the Sunshine State became the third state where Hard Rock Sportsbook is legal, but it’s more than fair to assume that it will look to expand even further in either late 2021 or 2022.

PROS

Even though Hard Rock Sportsbook is one of the youngest names in the US betting world, it has had an exceptional start to its quest to become the biggest name in the betting industry. While it might not be considered one of the best, Hard Rock has done several things right off the bat, which played a significant role in why Hard Rock has gained a good reputation amongst sportsbooks.

Here are three things to like about Hard Rock Sportsbook:

STUNNING INTERFACE: Hard Rock Sportsbook offers a graphically stunning interface

EXCELLENT MOBILE APP: Hard Rock Sportsbook’s mobile app is one of the best in the industry

GREAT WELCOME BONUSES: Hard Rock Sportsbook offers excellent welcome bonuses

CONS

Like any sportsbook, even Hard Rock has its flaws. However, those are relatively minor and hardly a reason not to give Hard Rock Sportsbook a chance. Still, the site needs to work on:

REGISTRATION PROCESS: can be a bit tedious

IN-PLAY STATS: Hard Rock Sportsbook lacks advanced in-play betting statistics

Mobile Betting at Hard Rock Sportsbook

Hard Rock Sportsbook offers a separate mobile betting app available for free for both iOS and Android users on App Store and Google Play, respectively. The mobile app is set like a desktop but optimized to work well on the phone and fit on a mobile screen.

Given its similarity to the desktop app, you won’t have a hard time using the Hard Rock Sportsbook mobile app if you have been betting on the site before. And even for the new users, getting familiar with the app is effortless thanks to its great layout and user-friendly interface.

Betting on the Hard Rock Sportsbook app is made very simple as you simply need to navigate to the match you’re looking for via the menu or the search function and click on the bet. It will then get added to a bet slip above the bottom menu of the app.

Hard Rock has made a bet slip easily collapsible for convenience as to not get in the way of you looking to add more bets.

Overall, the Hard Rock Sportsbook mobile app is easily one of the best due to its layout and overall function. Not to mention that the app works fast and does not suffer from any bugs on unexpected crashes as some of its competitors do.

There’s not a lot to dislike about the Hard Rock Sportsbook mobile app. The appearance might not suit you as it’s completely subjective. However, you can be sure that it has all the features you would want in a mobile sports betting app.

Banking Options

Hard Rock Sportsbook keeps its withdrawal and deposit options very simple, which is the way to go if you want to offer great service. There are also plenty of withdrawal/deposit methods for you to choose from, and they all work as intended, without any issues or hidden fees.

Deposit Methods

If you wish to deposit money on your Hard Rock Sportsbook account, you can do so via one of the following:

  • PayPal
  • Play+
  • ACH (e-check)
  • Visa
  •  MasterCard
  • Nettler
  •  PayNearMe
  • Cast at the cage

Withdrawal Methods

If you win big while betting on Hard Rock Sportsbook and wish to withdraw your winnings, you currently have three options:

  •         Bank Transfer
  •         ACH (eCheck)
  •         Cash at the cage
  •         Play+

Admittedly, most other sportsbooks have far more withdrawal options available, so it’s hard to give Hard Rock Sportsbook a pass for offering only four. However, Hard Rock plans to expand its offer with time, so this is hardly more than a current inconvenience.

Sports Offered

Hard Rock Sportsbook’s selection of sports is by no means the largest in the industry, but it covers more than enough sports and leagues to satisfy any bettor’s needs. If you’re looking for some more niche sports or lower-division leagues, Hard Rock Sportsbook might not be for you, but all other bettors will find that there are plenty of markets to bet on.

Hard Rock Sportsbook offer includes (but is not limited to):

  •         Football
  •         Basketball
  •         Soccer
  •         Tennis
  •         Golf
  •         Cricket
  •         MMA
  •         Boxing
  •         Darts
  •         Snooker
  •         Pool
  •         Rugby
  •         Motorsports
  •         College sports (NCAA, NCAAF)
  •         Baseball

The variety of sports offered on Hard Rock Sportsbook is not as wide as in some other sportsbook, though, in fairness, it does an excellent job in covering all the major markets. You can also expect Hard Rock to deviate into other sports and offer odds on any major sporting events, so it’s hard to complain about its market offer.

Bet Types

Hard Rock Sportsbook has done a good job with its betting offer, and it’s clear that it understands its customer base. At Hard Rock, you will meet all the usual bet types you would expect on any other reputable sportsbook – and that’s all you need.

Hard Rock Sportsbook betting options include:

  •         Parlays:bet on numerous outcomes in one ticket
  •         Props: bet on a specific event to happen, not directly related to the game’s outcome
  •         Futures: bet on an event in the future – who will win the NBA
  •         Moneyline: the most straightforward bet, where you predict which team will win
  •         Spreads: betting on a team or player with a positive or a negative points handicap
  •         Totals: a bet on how many points there will be in a match (more or less the predetermined number)
  •         Round Robin: a grouping of multiple contests and parlays together
  •         Live Betting: betting on a match while it’s happening

InPlay Betting

Hard Rock Sportsbook introduced in-play betting on its launch day, and it has been going strong ever since. Although we would have liked to see more in-depth betting statistics, the in-play betting feature works as intended and without any issues.

Outside of that, there are no flaws with Hard Rock Sportsbook in-play betting options.

You can navigate to the in-play markets in two ways. You can either visit the “live Zone” menu, where you’ll find a list of all the currently running events or by clicking on the “Live” icon next to the matches displayed on the main screen.

While Hard Rock Sportsbook might lack more in-depth betting options for its in-play markets, the interface is excellent, easy to navigate and use. Even if you’re planning to engage in in-play betting on your mobile device, you can rest assured you will be able to do it without any problems, thanks to the app’s speed and responsiveness.

It wouldn’t be too far from the truth if we would say that Hard Rock Sportsbook offers one of the best in-play betting services in the industry. Although it could cover more events in-play, the ones that Hard Rock covers are well done.

Loyalty Program

Hard Rock Sportsbook offers an excellent loyalty program, which awards active users of its sportsbook. Everyone who bets with Hard Rock will receive points, with bigger bets awarding more points.

These points can then be used on exciting perks such as hotel comps, as well as the world-famous Hard Rock merchandise.

Hard Rock Loyalty program works similarly to its rewards program for its hotels and casinos, as customers accumulate points that can later be used for members’ experiences, exclusive offers, late checkouts from hotels, welcome amenities, and more.

As a brand that is involved in almost any industry imaginable, you can be sure Hard Rock will have plenty of goodies to give its loyal customers.

Beyond that, Hard Rock Sportsbook also has a refer-a-friend program that can reward you with $10 for each new referral who has successfully registered on the site and deposited $20.

Customer Support

Hard Rock Sportsbook has excellent customer service, available around the clock via email, phone, or live chat. Unlike most other big names in the betting world, Hard Rock Sportsbook does things right with its customer service and consequently receives high grades for its work.

Thanks to Hard Rock’s excellent job in creating one of the best betting services on top of providing fast and easy banking options, you will rarely encounter any issues. However, if you do meet a problem, you can be sure that Hard Rock Sportsbook’s customer support will resolve the issue.

The only negative we have found about Hard Rock Sportsbook’s customer service is that its live chat option is not available 24/7. However, you can always contact the agents via email, and you will receive a response within hours.

Alternatively, you can visit Hard Rock Sportsbook’s extensive FAQ section and find a solution to your problem there.

Other Features

Hard Rock Sportsbook is not here to revolutionize sports betting and introduce something completely new. Instead, it focuses on the basics and does so exceptionally well.

And while you won’t be able to find anything particularly unique to Hard Rock Sportsbook, the sports betting provider still offers some exciting features worth exploring.

  •         Cash-Out: Hard Rock Sportsbook offers an early cash-out option for you to either collect your winnings early or cut your losses if you bet on a losing team.
  •         Starting Soon Feature: Hard Rock Sportsbook’s “Starting Soon” feature goes hand-in-hand with its in-play betting service, as a website section that shows which events are coming up shortly.
  •         Contests: Hard Rock Sportsbook offers excellent competitions under the “contest” tab on the main page, such as March Madness brackets

Owner Testimonial

Hard Rock Sportsbook is reliable, reputable, and owned by one of the most well-known companies in the world. It has everything you would ever want in a sportsbook, including competitive odds, a great selection of markets, an excellent interface, and more.

The sign-up bonuses and promotions are great as well, and you can’t forget about Hard Rock’s excellent loyalty bonuses and awards, either. So whether you’re an experienced or a casual bettor, you will surely find something you like on Hard Rock Sportsbook.

Summary

Hard Rock Sportsbook is an excellent sports betting provider and definitely worth checking out. It might not be the best in the business since it still lacks some of the odds boost and extra features many popular sportsbooks have; however, there’s a lot to like about it.

First, its mobile app is exceptionally well made. It resembles the desktop version, making it easy to navigate and use while offering all the features you would expect in a mobile app.

Beyond that, it’s very clear the Hard Rock knows its customer base and what to offer to keep everyone satisfied. The prices are very competitive, and you won’t find yourself looking for markets that aren’t available – unless you’re in for very niche sports that are rarely available even at some of the biggest brands.

Its customer support is not available 24/7, which may deter some from giving Hard Rock Sportsbook a five-star rating, but thanks to its quality of service, you will rarely find yourself needing any kind of support from Hard Rock agents.

Hard Rock Sportsbook receives a thumbs up from us. It has some areas of improvement, but nothing too worrying for us to doubt the quality of this sportsbook. All in all, Hard Rock Sportsbook has its weaknesses, but it excels in a few key areas
