Does Dana White Underpay Fighters Like Jake Paul Claims?

MMA article at Knup Sports

Jake Paul has repeatedly accused UFC president Dana White of underpaying fighters and taking undue credit (and profit) for UFC success. While White stressed that he believes the younger brothers’ pay-per-view numbers are accurate, he still disagrees that YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul has a valid opinion.

Are Fighters Getting Paid Enough in the UFC?

The median pay is $24,000, meaning most fighters who win a UFC fight after eliminating their opponent will get $24,000. The numbers are based on pedigree, experience, projections, and investments in and around the Ultimate Fighting Championship, some fighters earn four figures per fight, while others earn six or even seven figures per fight. The high number and the range of pay structures that fighters can earn in Ultimate Fighting Championships varies – the fighter’s wallet is more or less in the fighter’s hands (pun intended) – according to Dana White.

While fighters like Khabib Nurmagomedov and Conor McGregor can make millions of dollars per fight, there are also fighters who make as little as $10,000 per fight, according to the MMA manifesto, a sign of the UFC’s controversial pay levels. difference. Lesser-known fighters like Yorgan De Castro, Jairgino Rozenstruik, Michelle Waterson, and Sam Alvey make less than $10,000 per fight. Some fighters may struggle to be competitive enough to continue fighting at such a high level, with a minimum payout of just $10,000 in the UFC. Some fighters barely make enough money to live after these brutal fights.

Because UFC fighters are paid based on a contractual salary per year, UFC fighters simply need to show up for a fight to get paid, whether they win or lose.

Will Jake Paul or Logan Paul Ever Fight in UFC ?

It’s possible. White gave Jake Paul an ambiguous comment regarding the UFC his brother has made it clear that he would like to fight Paddy the Baddy in a UFC bout. Jake Paul is currently 5-0 in his professional boxing career, winning his last three fights with UFC stars Ben Askren and Tyron Woodley, who lost twice to Paul. Jake Paul continued his tirade against the UFC by posting a diss track on Dana White claiming that all lawsuits will go to underpaid MMA fighters.

Does the UFC Care about its Fighters?

Given his focus on many other potential Ultimate Fighting Championship opponents, including Jorge Masvidal, it makes financial sense for Paul to draw attention to the organization’s oppressive contracts and abuse of fighters, especially since Dana White himself Strongly disagrees with this idea. Paul challenges those who have signed with the UFC.

The conflict begins if White agrees to raise boxers’ wages and provide long-term medical care for his athletes, and Paul offers to quit boxing and join the Ultimate Fighting Championship roster. In an interview with Sports Business Journal last month, Paul, who has been actively pestering the UFC to provide medical care and raise fighter salaries, shared his stance on the matter. The offer came after Paul flirted with a chance to fight at middleweight to make his mixed martial arts debut.
