TEXAS A&M AGGIES College Baseball Preview 2024

Texas A&M head baseball coach Jim Schlossnagle is heading into his third season in College Station, already accumulating an 80-45 (33-27 SEC) record, including the memorable 2022 run in the College World Series.
In 2024. They will be looking for big things to happen. This team will be led by outfielder Jace LaViolette. He will be aided by Braden Montgomery, a former Stanford outfielder/pitcher with a ton of power.

Add to the roster shortstop from Cal State Northridge Al Camarillo who will replace veterans Haas, Moss and Warner

Coach Schlossnagle will have a hefty group of arms to use for new pitching coach Max Wiener
Look for freshman Gavin Grahovic to make an impact on the roster. He removed his name from the MLB draft and came to A&M.

Let’s dive deeper into the offense. The beef and power begins with LaViolette. Now a sophomore, He completed the 2023 season with 21 homers and 83 RBI’s along with 10 doubles. He possesses power from the left side and will be one of the top players in the country.

Braden Montgomery was the top plaster in the transfer portal and is a two way player with an elite arm from the outfield. On the mound, he has a high 90’s fastball. At the plate, he is a switch hitter at the plate. Montgomery has played in back-to-back College World Series, a second-team All American in 2023, and a fixture on Team USA in 2023.
