The Green Bay Packers is the best NFL franchise in the history of the game. The team has been around for 102 seasons being One of the oldest teams in the league. With a win-lose record of 782-581, and winning 4 Super Bowls appearing 5 times. The team has finished 1st in their division and top 5 in the past several years. This team is the standard for championships. The organization has bread a winning culture and has dominated the league over the years. The impressive thing about the Green Bay Packers organization is that it is owned by the fans. Owners cannot earn more than the original $250 they invested, no matter how many years go by. They sell a stock for the team. This is very impressive and they are the only nonprofit franchise in sports.
The San Francisco 49ers
The San Francisco 49ers have to be in the discussion when talking about the best franchises in NFL history. The 49ers have completed 77 seasons in the NFL, making appearances in the Super Bowl 7 times and successfully winning 5 championships. The 49ers hold a playoff record of 35-23, with coaching from Bill Walsh. This franchise has a long history of greatness and undoubtedly needs to be redeemed as one of the greatest franchises in history, but I don’t believe it is the best winning culture and has dominated the league over the years. To have this discussion I believe we must talk about franchises’ Super Bowl wins. as well as individual players that carried these super teams leaving an imprint in NFL history. To start this list off I want to discuss the 2016 New England Patriots. The patriots have completed 63 seasons in the NFL. With a record of 37-22 playoff wins. They have appeared in the super bowl 11 times and have won 6 championships. The New England Patriots are a historic franchise with many Super Bowl championships and legendary players who’ve played the game of football at the highest level. The 2016 Super Bowl champions went 17-2 and completely dominated the league. This team had 4 pro bowlers on their roster. Quarterback Tom Brady, LB Donta Hightower, DB Devin McCourty, and WR Matthew Slater were all selected for the 2017 pro bowl signifying the dominance throughout the roster.
The New England Patriots are notorious for being a good team every year with future Hall of Fame coach Bill Belichick the patriots are contenders for the best team in NFL history. With Tom Brady being the team being an all-time passing leader and Bill Belichick the most winning coach in NFL history this duo helped create the best franchise in NFL history.
