Golden State Warriors: Stephen Curry

While some people may argue that the Warriors’ best player of all time is Wilt Chamberlain, Steph Curry has won more NBA titles. Steph Curry is a four time NBA Finals champion in 2015, 2017, 2018 and 2022. Curry has been the frontman of the greatest team of the past decade.

Since Curry was drafted in 2009 he has been to the playoffs eight times and has over 90 playoff wins. Curry is and has been for about the last five years, the best three point shooter in the league. Curry leads the Warriors all time in three pointers, assists, steals and overall points.

Curry has been with the best and beaten the best. Curry has played with the likes of Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson. He has also bested LeBron James in finals three out of the four times he has won.

Los Angeles Clippers: Chris Paul

Even though Chris Paul only played six seasons with the Clippers they were the prime years of his career. Paul played for the Clippers from 2011-2017 and led the league in assists twice while he was there. Paul also led the league in steals three times while in Los Angeles.

Many will say that Paul is the best point guard of the past decade. That might be because of his great passing skills or his outstanding leadership skills. Paul was acquired on a trade from the Hornets and instantly turned the Clippers from bottom feeder to contender.

Paul never brought the Clippers a title but he did bring them to the playoffs multiple times while there.

Los Angeles Lakers: Kobe Bryant

The Lakers have many choices for this spot but it has to go to the late Kobe Bryant. Bryant is a five time NBA champion, three of them in a row 2000-2002 and then two back to back in 2009 and 2010.

Bryant played 20 seasons with the Lakers from 1996-2016. Bryant leads the Lakers all time in points, which is saying something considering the likes of Magic Johnson and Jerry West also played for the Lakers. Bryant is fourth in scoring all-time in the entire NBA with over 33,000 points.

Bryant was a two time NBA scoring champion in 2005-2006 and 2006-2007. Bryant won the NBA MVP award in 2008 and won the NBA Finals MVP twice in 2009 and 2010.

Finally, Bryant was an 18 time all star, 1998 and then for 17 consecutive years from 2000-2016. Bryant is definitely the best player of all time for the LA Lakers.

Phoenix Suns: Steve Nash

Steve Nash had two stints with the Suns first from 1996-1998 and then from 2004-2012. While Nash never won a title in Phoenix he did win back to back MVP awards in 2005 and 2006.

Nash was a part of the Sun’s high flying offense, averaging 15 points per game. Nash was also an elite passer and could always find the open man.

Finally, Nash was able to shoot 50% from the field and 91% from the line making him a very dangerous shooter in a quick pace offense like the Suns had.

Sacramento Kings: Oscar Robertson

Oscar Robertson was known as Mr. Triple Double recording 181 triple doubles in his career. He is second all-time in that statistic just behind Russell Westbrook. Robertson played for the Kings when they were the Cincinnati Royals, from 1960-1970.

Robertson won the NBA MVP award in 1964 and nearly averaged a triple double every game. Even though Robertson never reached the Finals with the team he is still the best to ever do it for the Kings/Royals.
