When looking at the well-known Savannah Bananas, their history is surprisingly brief, but you would not know that based on their success. They have quickly, seemingly overnight, become a sensation, and their games are quite the spectacle.
In 2016 the Savannah Bananas (located in Georgia) were born, and the rest is history. They play in the Coastal Plain League in the West Division along with many other teams in the Southeast like the Macon Bacon and Asheboro Zookeepers. They play at Grayson Stadium and sell out every game in front of over 4,000 fans.
Success and Savannah are two words that go hand-in-hand. They have won two CPL championships, and currently sit with the best overall record in the 2022 season.
The Bananas front office keeps track of where their fans are traveling from to attend their games, and an average night will feature fans from 35+ states. People travel across the world to this town on the East border of Georgia, and they leave with memories that will last a lifetime.

Who is Jesse Cole?
Yellow is everywhere at Grayson Stadium, including the famous all yellow tuxedo Jesse Cole wears. Cole is the founder of Fans First Entertainment and the Owner of the Bananas. With the Bananas, everything is about entertainment, and baseball comes next.
His book, “Find Your Yellow Tux – How to be Successful by Standing Out” is a huge hit, just like the Bananas. Teams and their owners across the country look up to Cole and his ideas that entertainment should always be at the forefront of sporting events.
Cole has led them to the team to being named Organization of the Year, and has also won Entrepreneur of the Year. No matter if you love him or hate his over the top energy, Cole is quite the successful man.
Savannah Bananas: Banana Ball
Banana Ball is why the Bananas are as known as they are. With crazy rules, crazy dances and games being featured on ESPN, Banana Ball is one of the craziest things to happen to baseball, and may be the future.
Here are the rules of Banana Ball. The team with the highest score in the inning earns a point, there’s a two hour time limit, batters cannot step out of the batter’s box or a strike will be called, you are thrown out of the game if you bunt, batters can steal first on a past ball, no walks are allowed, no mound visits and foul balls caught by fans are an out.
When the team is not playing in a CPL game, they play Banana Ball, but they sell out games no matter the league they are playing in. They are not allowed to use these rules in the CPL, but they bring the same energy and entertainment values that fans know and love.
Words cannot do this organization justice, and if you cannot catch a game at Historic Grayson Stadium, watch a game on television. This is not your normal baseball, it is Banana Ball.
