This book is a review about one of the greatest golfers of all time and is written by Curt Sampson. It was published on October 29, 2019 and the book has 304 pages.
When the 2019 Masters golf tournament concluded, most golfing fans will tell you it may have been the greatest comeback in sports history. Tiger Woods came away the winner after perservering physical pain and personal issues that were played it in the media at a relentless rate. The author gives us some insight into this legend.
This is not a tell-all expose’ of the sordid details of his divorce and sex addiction that followed Woods. He does touch on the night his wife learned of the affair and labels that moment as “Revelation”. The author focuses on the mental abilities that was required for the next ten years to get Woods back into the game with the mental toughness needed to win the Masters. Included in this book are the details of his inner circle in the old days and how it crumbled when the affair and divorce took center stage of his life.
Sampson delivers some verbal drama concerning the 12th hole at Augusta National with the par three and then the final round. A round that saw Tiger avoid Rae’s Creek and allowed him to be a clear cut leader and of course the winner of the prestigious tournament.
What remains in the book is giving readers hope that Woods career is on a rebound and some of his best golf could possibly be played next season. Or could he go back to faltering and take the final slide out of the PGA?
I enjoyed this book more than I thought I would and would recommend it for any sports person and their bookshelf. Get this book and enjoy!
