Paolo Banchero Questionable for Magic’s Game Against Timberwolves with Oblique Injury
Paolo Banchero, the power forward for the Orlando Magic, is dealing with a torn right oblique. He is currently working his way back into game conditioning. As of now, his status is questionable for the Magic’s upcoming game against the Minnesota Timberwolves on January 9th. The injury has kept him off the court since October 31st.
What It Means
Banchero’s absence has been felt by the Orlando Magic. Before his injury, he was averaging 29 points per game this season. His performance placed him in the top ranks in scoring and fantasy points among players and at his position.
The team will need to rely on other power forwards like Tristan Da Silva and Jonathan Isaac in his absence. Da Silva averages 8.9 points per game while Isaac contributes 5.8 points per game. The Magic will hope for Banchero’s return to bolster their lineup soon.
