Overall In 2023, the Cardinals finished 44-20 and in first place in the Pac-12 with a 23-7 record. They went on to their third straight trip to the College World Series and finished #4 in the nation according to D1Baseball.

HEAD COACH DAVID ESQUER (226-92, six seasons)
Look for Brandon Larson, a transfer portal pick up from UC San Diego to make a significant contribution for th eCardinals. HE hit .295 while leading his former team on home runs and added 45 runs batted in. He will be a lift after losing Carter Graham from the lineup.
Malcolm Moore returns after a successful freshman season with a .311 batting average and 63 RBI’s. His defense is adequate and will improve. Own cobb returns to the infield after he hit .324 and 32 runs batted in. Everyday shortstop Trevor Haskins is returning after returning for another season, Trevor Haskins is slated to be the everyday shortstop. He had a very good stint in the Cape Cod league.Matt Scott, pitcher with a 5-5 record and a 5.10 ERA will face his sophomore season. Stanford also boasts a loaded freshman class and arms like Joey Volchko, Aidan Keenan and Christian Lim look ready to contribute right away.
This club looks to be better than #12 but let’s have the season plays out. They could make noise in Omaha.
