Top 3 Backcourts
In basketball, the point guard and shooting guard together form the backcourt. Many teams in basketball are great with a decent backcourt and vice versa.
Today we are gonna talk about the three best backcourts in the NBA right now. The best backcourt, in my opinion, is the Brooklyn Nets. The second James Harden made his move to the Nets, you immediately knew him and Kyrie would become the best backcourt.
Harden said it would be a “process” learning how to play alongside another star guard, but he made that process look effortless as he very quickly meshed with Kyrie and the Nets. Together Kyrie and Harden averaged 51.1 points per game (ppg), 12.9 rebounds, and 17.5 assists.
Those are unstoppable numbers, especially when you add that to Kevin Durants 29.5 ppg.
The next best backcourt comes from the number 1 team in the Western Conference, the Utah Jazz. Led by Donovan Mitchell and Jordan Clarkson together, they average 41 ppg, 8.8 rebounds, and 6.7 assists.
Clarkson has played his best basketball season so far with a career-high shooting percentage of 46 and a career-high average points with 17.5 ppg. These two and the Jazz have surprised the world this season with only 5 losses so far, and there is no sign of them stopping.
Dallas Mavericks
The third best backcourt in the league consists of Slovenian player Luka Doncic and my former neighbor Tim Hardaway Jr. The Mavericks are currently second to last in the Western Conference.

Doncic has been on a roll ever since he entered the league. He plays like no one else and has an amazing vision allowing him to share the ball incredibly.
Doncic this year is averaging 27.9 ppg, 8.7 rebounds, and 9.5 assists, leading his team in all categories besides blocks. To pair with those numbers is Tim Hardaway’s stats, which are looking up from the last couple of years of basketball.
Tim Jr. is averaging 17 ppg, 1.8 assists, and 3.6 rebounds. Even though these two stars are playing very well together this year, the Mavericks have still been unable to get the wins they need.
These are the most elite backcourts in the league currently, and I expect to see them all in the playoffs as the season moves forward.
