The Power Rankings
1- Columbus Crew they won it all last season and they made very few changes because none were needed. They have a complete roster. Ply Atlanta next.
2. Cincinnati FC- Another Ohio team at the top.Best pickup was Pavel Bucha from the Czech. Open with Toronto on Sunday.
3-. Seattle Sounders FC They lost Exit Nico Lodeiro, but picked up Pedro de la Vega.They are the best team in the Western Conference. Match on Saturday facing LAFC,
4. Inter Miami FC Everything revolves around Messi. They won their opener against Real Salt Lake 3-0. The addition of Luis Suarez was major.
5. Philadelphia Union This is their year to return to glory. They open against Chicago Fire on Saturday.
6. Orlando City Returns with Head Coach Oscar Perada and that means something. They take on Montreal Saturday.
7. Atlanta United They filled all their gaps in the roster and could be on to something. They open against the top team Columbus.
8. FC Dallas picking up Petar Musa may have changed their fortunes even if it did cost $10M. They open against San Jose.
9. LAFC- a bit hard to judge as they have many new faces Open with Seattle.
10. New England Revolution The Revs brought in winger Tomás Chancalay on a permanent transfer Looking like I have them too low. First match: Feb. 24 at DC.
11. St Louis City They did almost everything right in their inaugural season. Look for more improvement . This organization is top notch. Real Salt Lake is the first opponent.
12. Houston Dynamos some injuries will assuredly have them at slow start. Open with SKC
13. New York Red Bulls- Key addition is Emil Forsberg from Sweden. This is a sleeper for best team. First match with Nashville.
14 Vancouver Whitecaps Health has always been their issue. Open against CLT.
15. Nashville SC- Lost a few key players and might go on downward spiral.Face RBNY in opener.
16. New York Football Club – New head coach mew scheme.May cause slow start.
17. Sporting KC- Not sure they addressed lack of scoring in off-season. Face Houston dynamo first match.
17. Real Salt Lake- lost opener to Inter Miami 3-0. Chico Arango will help.
18. LA Galaxy- Spent $10m on Gacriel Pec and have more to spend. Need to address issues. Tough opener facing Miami.
19 Colorado Rapids Tons of new players on the roster.How long will it take to jell? Fce Portland in opener.
20. Portland Timbers lack attacker will have trouble early. Face Rapids in opening match.
21- New York City FC- New attackers on board include Austrian winger Hannes Wolf, Argentine winger Agustín Ojeda and Serbian striker Jovan Mijatović. Open Saturday vs CLT.
22. Minnesota United New coach Emmanuel Reynoso is a leader. They may move up quickly. Take on Austin first match.
23.,San Jose Earthquakes- Daniel is a great goalkeeper. There, I said one good thing. Face Dallas in opener.
24. Chicago Fire- Addition of Hugo Cypers is a solid step. Have the money to continue adding. Tough opener against Union.
25. DC United- They did some trading which solidifies roster. Face Revolution in opener.
26. Charlotte – New coach with Premier league experience gives them hope. Weak roster. NYC is opener.
27. CF Montreal- When you get this low it is difficult to find the positives. Match against Orlando to open.
28. Austin FC- Thin roster has their offense bad. Take on Minnesota first/
29. Toronto FC- Will they be last all season? Play Cincinnati opening day.
