Baseball is probably America’s most classic and storied sport. Dating back to the mid to late 1800s. The first MLB team, the Cincinnati Reds were founded in 1869.

Honus Wagner Baseball Card
Honus Wagner was one of the first shining stars of the MLB in the early 1900s. Wagner played from 1905-1917 with the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Recently, in April 2022 the single Topps Baseball card sold for just over 6.6 million dollars. This shattered the previous single card record of 2.8 million.
The card is said to be the crown jewel of baseball cards and only 57 are known to be in existence today.
In the early 1900s Topps would sell their cards by putting them inside cigarette cartons. However Wagner was against smoking and the company removed his card from all cigarette products. Because of this the value of the card skyrocketed.
The Babe Ruth Collection
“The Great Bambino’s 1920 jersey is the oldest jersey of his in existence. In June of 2019 it sold for 5.6 million, breaking the previous record of 4.4 million.
Babe Ruth’s bat from the 1923 season is one he used to belt many balls into the upper deck of Yankee Stadium. The bat sold for 1 million in May of 2020.
The contract that dealt Babe Ruth from the Boston Red Sox to the New York Yankees sold for 1.2 million in March of 2018. Apparently anything Babe Ruth touches turns to gold.
Babe Ruth’s jersey from the infamous called shot game sold for 1.6 million dollars in April of 2020. The called shot game refers to game three of the 1932 world series against the Chicago Cubs. While Ruth was at bat he pointed to the upper deck, guaranteeing a home run in front of the fans at Wrigley Field. Ruth proceeded to hit the home run like he promised.
Babe Ruth’s All Star game home run ball from the 1933 All Star game sold for 800,000 dollars in June of 2013. The ball was also signed by Ruth upping its value.
Finally for Babe Ruth we have Babe Ruth’s World Tour uniform, the only complete uniform from Babe Ruth in existence. The uniform came from the 1934 Tour of Japan. The uniform sold for 770,000 dollars.
Mike Trout’s 2009 Rookie Card
Finally we have the future Hall Of Famer Mike Trout and his 2009 rookie card. In August of 2020 the card sold for 3.9 million dollars. The card was a 2009 Bowman Chrome Draft Prospect Superfactor signed rookie card and it was sold in mint condition.
